Driving and Parking

Driving

Please remember that we are generally older than the average Marin resident, and many people walk small animals and are in groups. Going below the speed limit will only take you a couple of minutes to go from one end of the Park to the other.

The Park rules and regulations are very specific about the use of vehicles in the Park. The City of Novato has designated a speed limit of 20 miles per hour within the Park. All speed limits posted in the Park must be obeyed and are subject to ticketing by the Novato Police.

Parking

Parking

Our streets are narrow and some are winding with obstructed views. Parking on them can impair other vehicles and most importantly restrict access by emergency vehicles.

Parking at each mobile home space is limited to the number of vehicles that fit within the carport or driveway. No parking is permitted in the streets or any other area not specifically designated for vehicle parking by the Park. Parking in cul-de-sacs (in areas other than driveways and carports) is permissible for loading and unloading provided it does not interfere with egress/ingress of other vehicles.

There is to be no parking on any street except for deliveries and for contractors and landscapers working on a home and for loading and unloading provided it does not interfere with egress/ingress of other vehicles. Cars are not permitted to park opposite other temporarily parked cars, to maintain access for others. This on-street parking is limited to 7 am until midnight. Parking is also not allowed at anytime within 20 feet of a street intersection. The rules specifically do not allow  repairing of vehicles in driveways or any other space in the community.

All motor vehicles MUST be licensed and have up-to-date registration. All vehicles that ignore these rules are subject to towing and impoun

Recreational Vehicle Parking

Recreational Vehicle Parking

If you notice empty spaces in the RV parking areas, it does not mean they are available, even for a very short stay. It means that the renter has moved their vehicle. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed at the owners’ expense. A limited number of parking spaces are available in two parking lots designated for larger vehicles. Because there is a waiting list for a space, contact Matt the Park Manager to be put on the list for the next available space.
