The Mar Val Social Club maintains a volunteer clubhouse library for all resident to use for your enjoyment and convenience. Checking out books is on the honor system. On an annual basis we remove and donate books to Book Place.

Following are the guidelines for what will NOT be accepted and will notify you to take them to the Book Place at 1608 Grant Street in Novato, which is run by Friends of Marin County Libraries volunteers or Goodwill.
 1) BOOKS BEFORE THE 21 ST CENTURY
 2) BOOKS PUBLISHED BEFORE 2008/EXCEPT FOR NONFICTION
 3) MEDICAL BOOKS
 4) DICTIONARIES
 5) TEXT Books
 6) RECIPE Books
 7) CRAFT Books
 8) VCR Tapes (Take to Goodwill, which will take them)
 9) MAGAZINES MORE THAN 1 ½ MONTHS OLD (Please recycle)
10) PUZZLES (We already have a collection)

It is greatly appreciated by our volunteer staff when residents use these guidelines.
Please help your volunteer librarians by returning books to the small table in the back of the library so that the librarian can properly reshelf the books by category.
