The City of Novato has lots of programs; check out the Novato INDEPENDENT ELDERS PROGRAM at the Margaret Todd Senior Center. (Information is also available by phone at 415-889-8296). Included in a list of many services for seniors is one potentially life-saving program — the Telephone Reassurance Program — a free telephone check-in program serving at risk, elder, disabled, and homebound individuals in Marin County. Three times a week, trained volunteers call to check on their well being. Call 415-456-9062, ext. 132 to register.
