Just One Hour: Lisa Jackler — Sometimes people call her and it turns out they just need advice on how to fix something, which Lisa is happy to give.
Craft and Chat/HOL Bulletin Board/Breezeway Boutique/Rollin’ Root/Breezeway Craft Market: Tara Plocher — Everything is going well. She’s not sure when she’ll hold the next Craft Market.
Art in the Park: Suzie Lahr — The artists have decided to try an experiment. Starting with the next exhibit August 4, every two months there will be one or two featured artists whose work will be shown in the lobby. The regular exhibit will be hung in the Fireside Room.
Yard Maintenance: Lisa Jackler — Once the grass stops growing and turns brown, the yard maintenance program will start up again.
Extra Food: Anne Lakota for Joanne Woodward Everything is going great.
Earth Day: John Feld — Peggy Hill organized an Earth Day clean up of Marin Valley Drive from Bolling Drive to the Park gates. Eight people from the Park volunteered. Many people thanked them, including people who live along that stretch of road.
Emergency Situations: John Feld — If there is ever an emergency situation, for instance, someone walking around the Park who shouldn’t be here, call the Front Desk. If they can’t help, you can call our Security Service Bright Star and they will come and help. Their number is 415-883-2200. Their number is also posted at the pool. They are available 24 hours a day.
David Gray’s Costa Rica presentation: John Feld for David Gray — David will present his Costa Rica pictures on Thursday, May 23 from 7-9pm in the Ballroom.
Plants in the Clubhouse: John Feld — Jory Adamson is now taking care of all the plants in the Clubhouse. Pauline Hawkins will plant flowers in the 4 large pots by the Clubhouse doors.
Newcomers Group: John Feld — The idea is we would invite Park newcomers to come together and talk about what goes on here. We could take them to our different meetings and activities. They would get to connect with other residents. We would act as Ambassadors, interact with them and encourage them to participate in our Community. John will write an article for the Echo.
HOL Fund Drive: Tara Plocher would like to start the HOL Fund Drive in July.
Ice Cream Social: Tara suggested that we have an Ice Cream Social in July.
Meeting adjourned at 6:57pm.
Date of the next meeting is Thursday, June 6 at 6pm.
